ceramic fruit bowl
Some questions about a fruit bowl??
I want to encourage healthier eating in my house by putting a bowl of fruit on the counter. Do you do this? What would a good type of container to be used – such as wrought iron, ceramics, wood, or what? How much time is left out? What type of fruit is put out – apples, oranges, anything else? Thanks!
I used a fairly large plastic bowl I have a garage sale. Put two of each kind of fruit was in season. I tried to buy different fruits every shopping trip. Never a group class, but a part of this and that for variety. once there were 2-3 plums, a couple of peaches and grapes and green apples. The next time that bananas, kiwi, grapes of different colors and a special kind of pears or whatever else was in the season. When they left (one or two days), I would like to fill the refrigerator with what ever I had. We ate fast enough to do not worry about the cooling of the bowl of fruit and also most of the fresh fruits are not refrigerated in the store.
