Ceramics designs?
In ceramics class i just made a vase thats short and round and curvy at the top. The shape looks something like this:

We can only use one color, and I need to carve something into it or carve something out. Do you have any ideas?
You could cover it in black slip and then carve designs into it, sgraffito-style. The carved designs would be whatever the natural color of the clay is, and the rest of course, stays black. It’s very classy. Maybe something Egyptian-themed would look good.
Edit: I’m assuming that counts as one color, since you are technically only adding one color of slip.
