How to apply clear glaze onto ceramics?

Hi, I’m new to ceramics and I hope I don’t sound stupid, but here goes. I have some bisque fired pieces and I’ve applied some coloured underglazes to them.

Do I :
1. Apply clear glaze over the underglaze and fire it.

or

2. Fire the underglazed ceramics first and then apply clear glaze and fire it again?

The instructions on the glaze containers didn’t make it clear enough for me. Helpful answers appreciated.

Note: I’m using Duncan Envision clear glaze and Hobby Colorobbia brand underglazes.

I’d fire the underglaze first, then the clear one. If you put them all together at once I expect they might run/react with each other. I hope the clear glaze can be fired at a lower temperature than the underglazes…
Intriguing.
Can you do a series of test pieces?

Good luck!
