Gare Ceramic
Gare ceramics paint shivering?
I own a paint your own pottery studio & my Gare paint is SHIVERING.
My customers are very angry, and I am losing a lot of $$. Should I change paints, or, change bisque?
It may be your bisque. Shivering is caused by the bisque being fired to hot, which creates a problem with the underglaze adhering to the piece.
You might try the following steps to prevent this in the future.
1. Wipe the piece down with a damp sponge before painting, making sure that all dust and hand grime are removed from the ware.
2. Thin the first coat of color and apply in a scrubbing motion.
3. Apply color evenly and work the first coat into the bisque.
4. Allow color to dry between coats.

DO YOU HAVE ANY GARE PAINT GG1721 PERV PALM BY CHANCE ? THANKS CONNIE BURNEY JACKSON,MS
