Large Ceramic Vases

Large Ceramic Vases
Floor vase arrangement for large wedding centerpiece!?

I needed a large centerpiece for the food table at my wedding. I bought a giant (probably 3 feet tall max) glass vase, but I don’t know what to put in it. I don’t want to use a florist, because it will be too expensive. And, I looked at fake flowers at Michaels and the stems look too short for the vase.

The vase kind of looks like the shortest of these, but clear glass: http://www.decormotif.com/Accents/floor-vase-ceramic.jpg

Any arrangement suggestions?

The top lip has brown satin around it, and I thought about putting foam there and having flowers come out the top. Will that look funny considering the glass is clear and people will clearly notice the lack of stems?

I am using manzanita branches in my table centerpieces. But the stem is too short to go all the way to the bottom of the vase.

Do I fill the vase with something? Thoughts? Help!!

It’s kind of funny but you came up with your own solution:
- use floral foam to keep the stems in place
- fill the bottom of the vase with gems or some other kind of filler
if gems/rocks/crystals/etc. are too much then look at using crystal fiber filler

hope this helps!
