Ideas for a decorative vase in the main entrance?

I have a great piece of pottery found in a top layer of my house. How my entry is submitted, the mantle and glass are the first things you see when you enter the house. There is a large vase holding rib currently a mixture of dry grass spiral arms, etc. Here is a picture that would http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff190/Maryann1214/Vases/RibbedVase.jpg suggestions on what can be put in this glass, plus the usual predicate foliage dry. My house has a "Pottery Barn" feel to it, most time with neutral colors, dark green / Details in brown / beige. Thanks for your ideas!
