The fascination of miniature doll house
Over the years I had the pleasure to meet and know many miniature enthusiasts. What the inspiring to see familiar objects in a realistic way to small?
More than a children's toy doll house building, and ultimately decor and include a topic of their choice, became a pastime for adults. The only way to improve this issue is to have a daughter or granddaughter can share this interest and passion with you.
Personally, my interest lies in miniatures and miniature antique dolls, more than in modern works. The strange thing is that the antique pieces were often created with a real look at scale and scale is important for me when displaying thumbnails modern.
The know-how involved in the creation of small porcelain dolls by little, with jointed limbs, often inserting blown glass eyes, real mohair wigs is incredible. Add to that the primitive conditions in factories that many of these dolls were created, he said, to my amazement. Many of these small dolls have lasted over 100 years that have been handled and touched, loved and often abandoned, as the years turn later, somewhere in an attic.
The furniture of that era were often handmade, often primitive, and many have not withstand the test of time and made small dolls. To search, hold and enjoy these pieces today is a delight.
Manufactured doll house furniture from this period are often undertaken in Germany and comics. I had a childhood friend in Germany to bring his collection to help me sell. This is more than 90 years, a lovely lady who still teaches piano, directs home and dresses her dolls. Had a story to tell about each piece, and recalls the hours he spends with his sister in the creation of tiny bed linen, clothes wrist and lampshades. I like to think that there are similar stories about all the antiques that comes my way.
Also of importance to me, is for the thumbnails for the subject they are in real life.
If a bed is a wood, I do not tolerate the plastic. (Sorry Chrysenbon) If accessories are either pieces of porcelain, and then do in the woods! Realism is very important in my own collection.
Some fans enjoy it all their own furniture and accessories, including his own wrists. This job requires can only be admired by those of us less talented, but his fascination is clearly evident.
Some artisans that these exquisite pieces that price can order as many as their counterparts in size. There are artists who paint on canvas every tiny miniature artwork is a painting of a species. Other artists paint on small plates, including buttons as paintings.
There are artists who make carpets miniature miniature knitting, make carpets and ceramic workers, and timber.
One thing I found is that once someone is inclined to this hobby, usually a life long obsession.
