Who are some famous sculptors and artisans?
For my final ceramic I have to be inspired by a famous sculptor, but I am a potter and I like to celebrate the clay soil qualities. Many of the artists that I'm either through having a neo-classical aesthetics are very modern. I looked very rusty. Does anyone know of any known sculptors like this?
Bernard Leach – the supreme master of ceramics in the 20th century. He went to Japan to with a teacher. Also check out Lucie Rie and Hans Coper, refugees from Nazi Germany, who made his home in London.
